*Highlights of the yatra are the 3 chariots - Nandighosa, Taladhwaja, and Devadalana.*

The names of the three raths (Chariots) belonging to the three deities are:

Lord Jagannath: Nandighosa
Lord Balabhadra: Taladhwaja
Goddess Subhadra: Darpadalana

It is the oldest Ratha Yatra taking place in India and the World, whose descriptions can be found in Brahma Purana, Padma Purana, and Skanda Purana and Kapila Samhita.*

  Ratha Yatra is a huge Hindu festival and it is organized each year at famous Jagannatha temple in Puri. Ratha Yatra day is decided based on Hindu Lunar calendar and it is fixed on Dwitiya Tithi during Shukla Paksha of Ashada month. Currently it falls in month of July. ЁЯМ╗ЁЯМ╣ЁЯЩП

ЁЯОеЁЯОмBIMAL ROY, the Silent Master, was born on 12th July 1909 into an old landholding family in former East Bengal, (Bangladesh). He was an Indian film director. He is particularly noted for his realistic and socialistic films like Do Bigha Zamin, Parineeta, Biraj Bahu, Madhumati, Sujata, and Bandini, making him an important director of Hindi cinema. He won a number of awards throughout his career, including eleven Filmfare Awards, two National Film Awards, and the International Prize of the Cannes Film Festival. Madhumati won 9 Filmfare Awards in 1958, a record held for 37 years. Bimal Roy, the ‘Silent Master of Indian Cinema’, ushered in the golden age of Indian Cinema in the 1940’s. A socially committed director, his films had the power to inspire and move audiences. He died of cancer on 8 January 1966 at the age of 56 at Mumbai.ЁЯОеЁЯОм

*Bimal Roy,* born on 12 July 1909, was a Bengali Indian film director. He is particularly noted for his realistic and socialistic films such as _Do Bigha Zamin, Parineeta, Biraj Bahu, Madhumati, Sujata, Parakh_ and _Bandini,_ making him an important director of Hindi cinema. Inspired by Italian neo-realistic cinema, he made _*Do Bigha Zamin*_ after watching Vittorio De Sica's _Bicycle Thieves_ (1948). He won a number of awards throughout his career, including eleven _Filmfare Awards,_ two _National Film Awards,_ and the International Prize of the _Cannes Film Festival._ _*Madhumati*_ won 9 _Filmfare Awards_ in 1958, a record held for 37 years.*Rajendra Kumar,* passed away on 12 July 1999, was an Indian film actor who starred in Bollywood films. Starting his career in 1950, he appeared in more than 80 films in a career spanning over four decades. He was considered one of the most successful Indian Bollywood actors in the 1960s. He also produced several films starring his son Kumar Gaurav. The Government of India honoured him with the _Padma Shri_ in 1969.

*Charles Rolls,* English engineer and businessman, co-founded Rolls-Royce Limited 

*Charles Rolls,* passed away on 12 July 1910, was a Welsh motoring and aviation pioneer. With Henry Royce, he co-founded the Rolls-Royce car manufacturing firm. He was the first Briton to be killed in an aeronautical accident with a powered aircraft, when the tail of his Wright Flyer broke off during a flying display in Bournemouth. He was aged 32.

*Rolls-Royce* was a British luxury car and later an aero-engine manufacturing business established in 1904 by the partnership of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. Building on Royce's reputation established with his cranes they quickly developed a reputation for superior engineering by manufacturing the "best car in the world". The First World War brought them into manufacturing aero-engines. Joint development of jet engines began in 1940 and they entered production.

*Henry David Thoreau,* born on 12 July 1817, was an American essayist, poet, and philosopher. A leading transcendentalist, Thoreau is best known for his book _Walden,_ a reflection upon simple living in natural surroundings, and his essay _"Civil Disobedience"_ (originally published as "Resistance to Civil Government"), an argument for disobedience to an unjust state.
