The house sparrow (Passer domesticus) is a bird of the sparrow family Passeridae, found in most parts of the world. It is a small bird. Females and young birds are coloured pale brown and grey, and males have brighter black, white, and brown markings. One of about 25 species in the genus Passer, the house sparrow is native to most of Europe, the Mediterranean Basin, and a large part of Asia. Its intentional or accidental introductions to many regions, including parts of Australasia, Africa, and the Americas, make it the most widely distributed bird.

Columbidae is a bird family consisting of pigeons and doves. It is the only family in the order Columbiformes. These are stout-bodied birds with short necks, and short slender bills that in some species feature fleshy ceres.  The family occurs worldwide, but the greatest variety is in the Indo Malayan and Australasian realms.

The family contains 344 species divided into 50 genera. Thirteen of the species are extinct.

In English, the smaller species tend to be called "doves" and the larger ones "pigeons".

*Elias Howe,* born on 9 July 1819, was an American inventor best known for his creation of the modern *lockstitch sewing machine.*

A *sewing machine* is a machine used to sew fabric and other materials together with thread. Sewing machines were invented during the first Industrial Revolution to decrease the amount of manual sewing work performed in clothing companies. Since the invention of the first working sewing machine, generally considered to have been the work of Englishman Thomas Saint in 1790, the sewing machine has greatly improved the efficiency and productivity of the clothing industry.

‘Ye mahlon ye takhton ye taajon ki duniya /
Ye insaan ke dushman samaajon ki duniya /
Ye daulat ke bhooke rivaajon ki duniya /
Ye duniya agar mil bhi jaye to kya hai’

When we hear this haunting song from *Pyaasa,* the man that immediately comes to mind is *Guru Dutt,* the director and tragic legend.

*Guru Dutt,* born on 9 July 1925, was an Indian film director, producer and actor. He made 1950s and 1960s classics such as _Pyaasa, Kaagaz Ke Phool, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam_ and _Chaudhvin Ka Chand._ In particular, _Pyaasa_ and _Kaagaz Ke Phool_ have been included among the greatest films of all time by Time magazine's "All-TIME" 100 best movies list and by the 2002 Sight & Sound critics' and directors' poll, where Dutt himself is included among the greatest film directors of all time.

The BSE Ltd, the oldest stock exchange in Asia had a very humble beginning under a Banyan Tree in Mumbai’s town hall. The stock exchange was started by four Gujaratis and one Parsi and gradually the group grew. As the number of brokers was continuing increasing the venue of their meeting changed many times. In 1874, the group finally moved to Dalal Street and in 1875 the group became an official organization known as The Native Share and Stockbrokers Association.

From 1946 to 1980, the stock market was dominated by Sir Phiroze Jeejeebhoy, who was its chairman from 1966 until his death in 1980. Sir Jeejeebhoy had enormous influence over brokers and the government and helped avert many critical situations owing to his knowledge and vast experience.
